Dear Parents,

It?s a matter of immense joy for me to share with you the good news that Sunflower School Begusarai  is steadily marching on path of progress.

S.F.S is offering education to your little angels, from Std. I to Sr. Secondary level. An education billed to be complete in every aspect. Unfortunately, today Public School education is being confused with literacy, a smattering of English, ability to enjoy an English movie, getting a job on a handsome initial salary, or wangling a job abroad. In other words, just ?schooling?. Is this what we really want? Is such a selfish interpretation of education desirable in the Indian context?

Should educational entrepreneurs be honest to themselves, they?ll realize the need to examine closely the purpose of a holistic education and the particular direction it should take, keeping in mind the yet-to-be-developed economic status of our country, low Human Development Index and other social and national issues. Believe me, no amount of the so-called ?quality education? will be good enough for our children, if the ethics of their personal lives and their inescapable social responsibilities are over looked. What  is the use of a learned person without personal integrity and social conscience? Those who have perpetrated programs in history and those that are engaged in similar activities today are of the ?schooled? variety. Education would have prevented such tragedies.

At S.F.S our endeavor shall be to fashion the raw material we receive from young men and women who are knowledgeable and humane with a reputation for personal integrity and social concern. This, I believe, is education.
